To qualify, a partner member must:

  • Be an EdTech organisation (not a school) and be focused on K-12 market
  • Have a B2B and/or B2C offering / Be for profit or not for proft
  • UK incorporated entity and public facing commercial offering (not just an alpha tested prototype)
  • Demonstrable activity either through a number of active settings or through significant R&D in public facing environments

What does being part of the EEG mean to Supporting Members?

The EEG supports members to become ‘better’ businesses by encouraging all participants to understand evidence gathering and dissemination, and by enabling benchmarking against other leaders in the industry.

The EEG has created a forum through which like-minded people can communicate, share knowledge and learning and, in many instances, collaborate. Founders, CEOs and Senior Leaders from a range of EdTech providers are actively engaged in all aspects of the EEG.

All members of the EEG fundamentally believe in the importance of evidence of efficacy in EdTech. Member companies all show demonstrable commitment to that shared belief.

As a single industry voice, representing the shared views of many the EEG hopes to exert influence at a senior, national, and government level.

All full and provisional member logos are added to the EEG’s website with a link to their own website.

'New Member' Post

Social media posts will be shared from the EEG’s Twitter and LinkedIn accounts, including quotes from new members.

Board Meetings

All new members are invited to the first 15 minutes of the next board meeting to introduce themselves to the board.

Space on EEG Website

You will have the opportunity to submit 200 words outlining the types of evidence you provide as an organisation for inclusion.

Coaching Programme

A training session will be provided by the EEG Membership Team to support new full members in being able to coach members.

Slack Channel

You are invited to join the EEG Slack channel, giving you direct contact with Founder members for networking and collaboration.

Events Calendar

Members are invited to all events in the EEG calendar throughout the year.

Networking

In person networking to take place at around the UK.

What sort of companies should apply?

Value driven organisations with a demonstrable desire to improve the ecosystem for all

The EEG is actively looking for value driven organisations who believe in collaborating with others to enhance the EdTech ecosystem for all.

Long term investment in evidence gathering and dissemination

Members should be committed to the gathering and dissemination of evidence of efficacy and effectiveness, regardless of the outcome of that evidence. The type of evidence gathered by member organisations may vary depending on the nature and maturity / size of the company, but should show a journey of progression over time.

Supportive, collaborative approach

Although the EEG may comprise non-competing but also directly competing member companies, all EEG members are expected to behave in an honourable and trustworthy manner to other members, never denigrating and, as appropriate, supporting or promoting each others’ products and services.

Demonstrable commitment to continuous learning and improvement

Member organisations will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and improvement to improve the efficacy and effectiveness of their solutions for the teachers and learners that they serve.

Membership: the Practicalities

  • Potential members must be Proposed and Seconded by two existing EEG members (founder members for first 50 members)
  • Those proposed must complete an Application Form which will be circulated to members
  • A seven day “no objections” consideration phase by existing members which should not be unduly withheld subject to applicant meeting profile (outlined in previous slide) and membership criteria (next slide)
  • Organisations are members, not individuals
  • Participants from member companies must be Founders/CEOs/Senior Leaders
  • No more than two named contributors from any one member company
